Challenges

Red Bull came to us with a pretty sweet event activation that they needed a creative partner for. The premise? Transform the first day of college at ASU into a quest-like journey that would lead ASU freshman through a series of Red Bull stations to help the students familiarize themselves with their new campus. If the students checked out each of the four stations throughout the day, they could collect special stamps via geo-targeted Snapchat filters—collect all four and they’d gain access to an exclusive art party hosted at the ASU Art Museum.


Strategic Solutions

Drawing from several sources of inspiration, including the TV show Adventure Time along with the talented illustration style of Will Bryant—we decided to bring Campus Quest to life in a fun, bright way. We joined the worlds of college notebook doodles and treasure maps to reinforce the “quest” theme of the story consistently across social ads, geo-targeted Snapchat filters, and a responsive landing page.
